Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most about trade-ins, delivery and returns — before you email us, the answer is probably here.

Trade-Ins & Selling

What can I sell or trade in?+

Games and consoles from the 8-bit era to the PS3 and beyond, plus controllers, accessories, replacement parts and complete collections. Media such as DVDs, Blu-rays and VHS tapes can also be traded in.

How do I get a valuation?+

Submit a trade-in request telling us what you have — names, platforms, condition and any included accessories — and upload clear photos. We review every request within 48 hours and send you a provisional offer.

Cash or store credit — which should I choose?+

Cash is paid by bank transfer. Store credit comes with +20% extra value to spend on anything in the shop, so it's the better deal if you're shopping with us anyway.

How long is my offer valid for?+

Provisional offers are valid for 14 days. The final valuation is confirmed once we've inspected your items — if their condition differs from your description we may make a revised offer.

How do I send my items in?+

Three options: post them with our free postage label, arrange a courier collection for larger lots, or arrange a drop-off — whatever suits you best.

When do I get paid?+

Once your items are received, inspected and the offer is accepted, payment is issued within 2 working days. Store credit is issued as a code you can use at checkout straight away.

Delivery & Shipping

How much is delivery?+

UK tracked delivery is £3.99, or free on standard-sized orders over £50. Your exact charge is always shown in your basket and at checkout before you pay.

How long does delivery take?+

Tracked UK delivery typically takes 3-5 working days. You'll get a tracking reference once your order is dispatched.

Do heavy items cost more to post?+

Vintage computers, large console bundles and other heavy products carry a heavy-item delivery charge instead of the standard rate. The exact amount is shown on the product page, in your basket and at checkout — heavy items don't qualify for free delivery.

What about oversized or fragile items?+

Unusually large or exceptionally fragile items need a delivery quotation. Request a quote from the product page and we'll confirm the charge before you pay. Some items — like CRT televisions — are collection only.

Do you ship outside the UK?+

Not yet — we currently ship to UK addresses only. International shipping is coming soon.

Can I collect my order instead?+

Collection is available on selected items where the listing says so. Choose collection at checkout and we'll confirm the arrangements once your order has been accepted.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return an item?+

Yes — you have 30 days from delivery to return any item for a full refund, provided it's in the same condition it was sent in. Sealed items must remain sealed.

What are my statutory cancellation rights?+

For eligible distance purchases you also have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Our 30-day policy is in addition to those rights.

How do I request a return?+

Message us via the contact page with your order number before sending anything back. We'll confirm the return instructions and the correct returns address — please don't post items without authorisation, as this can delay your refund.

Who pays return postage?+

We do if the item is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described. For change-of-mind returns, return postage is paid by you.

How quickly are refunds processed?+

Refunds are issued promptly once we receive and check the returned item. Your bank or card provider may take a few extra working days to show the refund on your statement.

What if my item develops a fault?+

Items are covered by a 30-day warranty against faults not described in their listing. Contact us with your order number and photos and we'll arrange a refund or replacement. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.

General

Are your photos of the actual item?+

Yes. Every used product is photographed as the exact item you'll receive — no stock photos.

What does 'tested' mean?+

Tested means the item has been used and works. Each listing states its testing status — fully tested, partially tested or untested — along with what was checked and any known faults.

What payment methods do you accept?+

All major cards via Stripe.

Still stuck?+

If your question isn't answered here, message us via the contact page — we aim to reply within one working day.
