Terms & Conditions

The terms of using RETROTROPOLIS.

1. Seller Identity & Contact Information

This website is operated by Retrotropolis, trading name of Office Pursuit Ltd. You can reach us customer support at support@retrotropolis.com.

2. Website Use

By accessing or ordering from this website you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You may not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, extract data without permission, or interfere with its operation. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published at the time you place your order is the one that applies.

3. Product Descriptions & Actual-Item Photography

Unless clearly stated otherwise, the products sold on this website are pre-owned. The photographs on each listing show the actual item you will receive. Each listing states the item's condition, testing status, what is included and any known faults. We describe items honestly and never overstate condition — if anything in a listing is unclear, please ask before ordering.

4. Pricing & VAT

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are always shown in your basket and at checkout before you pay. We work hard to keep listings accurate; if an obvious pricing or description error affects your order, we will contact you before dispatch, and you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.

5. Order Placement & Acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not an accepted contract. A contract is formed when we accept your order — normally when payment is confirmed — or when the item is dispatched. We may decline an order (for example, if an item is no longer available or an order appears fraudulent); in that case any payment taken is refunded in full.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Card, and where enabled Apple Pay and Google Pay, are accepted through Stripe's secure checkout.

7. Stock Availability

Most of our stock is one-off pre-owned items. Stock is reserved for you while you complete checkout, but if an item becomes unavailable after you order (for example through an inventory error), we will contact you and refund your payment in full.

8. Delivery Charges & Geographical Restrictions

We currently deliver to UK addresses only — we do not ship internationally. Delivery charges depend on the items in your order and are always shown before you pay. Delivery estimates (typically 3–5 working days, tracked) are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates.

9. Heavy, Oversized, Fragile & Collection-Only Products

Some products carry a heavy-item delivery charge, and unusually large or exceptionally fragile items require a delivery quotation that we confirm before you pay. Collection-only items cannot be sent by courier; collection arrangements are confirmed after your order is accepted.

10. Customer Cancellation Rights

For eligible distance purchases, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Full details, including how to cancel and the limited exceptions, are on our Returns, Cancellations & Warranty page.

11. Returns & Refunds

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day return policy. Refunds are issued promptly once a returned item is received and checked. See our Returns, Cancellations & Warranty page for the full policy.

12. Faulty or Incorrectly Described Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, every item we sell must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If an item is faulty, arrives damaged or is significantly not as described, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement — including return postage, which we cover in these cases. Your short-term right to reject (up to 30 days) and your rights under the Act are unaffected by anything in these terms.

13. Product Warranties

Items are covered by our 30-day warranty against faults not described in their listing, unless the listing states otherwise. The warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights.

14. Trade-In Valuations

Trade-in valuations are provisional until we have received and inspected your items. Offers are normally valid for 14 days. Store credit issued for trade-ins is subject to the terms communicated with your offer. Descriptions that materially affect value (condition, faults, included items) must be accurate — valuations may be revised after inspection.

15. Customer Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account details and password secure and for providing accurate information when ordering. We may suspend an account that is being misused. You can request deletion of your account data at any time via the contact page.

16. Intellectual Property

The design, branding, text and photographs on this website are owned by us or used with permission. Product photographs show our actual stock. You may not reproduce website content commercially without our written permission. Product and platform names referenced in listings belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

17. Liability

We are responsible for losses we cause foreseeably and directly through our breach of these terms, up to the value of the affected order. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory consumer rights.

18. Privacy & Personal Data

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. We only collect what is needed to fulfil orders, manage your account and, with your consent, tell you about news and offers.

19. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes — without affecting any consumer's right to bring proceedings in their own UK country of residence.

Our Returns, Cancellations & Warranty and Privacy Policy pages form part of these terms. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are always preserved.
